33 weeks - Trying to get ready!

It's almost Christmas so we thought it was appropriate to take this picture in front of our tree! So fun! That was one of the best days we have had in a while. Oh my it has just been a mess these last couple weeks! Hunter, Brandon and I have been pretty stressed out and we are finally glad to be able to relax and enjoy the Christmas season.

December 5, 2012 Brandon's dear Grandmother died like I mentioned in the crib post below. On top of it all - the two days leading to her death, while family was giving their good-bye's, I was at home sick with the stomach flu. :( Then Brandon had a touch of it too. No fun being sick! So we were finding out details about grandma in between throw up sessions. I took the flu the hardest, but it lasted just about a day. As a result of all the sickness and stress I believe it started some pre-term labor! So on December 5th, I was also sent to the hospital to be monitored.

I had just the tiniest bit of spotting right after I had a doctor visit and so when I approached the midwife about it they decided to do a quick check. One thing led to another and she discovered I was having mild contractions and was a centimeter dilated. Crazy right? So I was sent to St. Pete's to be monitored. Everything turned out to be ok - they gave me tons of water to drink, fed me and everything seemed to calm down. Then they didn't really have an answer for us other than it was most likely dehydration. Which is crazy since I drank a TON of water and Gatorade once I started feeling better the day before, so I guess I just needed some TLC!

We recovered quickly and after that little scare, both Brandon and I decided it was time to crack down on getting ready for this baby. We went out and bought a dresser and put up the crib! In between helping to plan for Grandma's funeral, I started to get the baby's room unpacked. I posted pictures of our crib adventure on the post below. I started to wash all those adorable baby clothes and have just about all of them put away in our beautiful dresser I got for just $50! Besides some of the room still being in boxes, the baby's room is functioning and ready for a baby! That's a relief. Now I need to start packing that hospital bag and making sure I have all the last minute items I need for a baby in the house. Eeck! Baby is coming soon!

How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 32 pounds
Pregnancy symptoms: I had a major bout of heartburn with some 'upchuck' and I started to choke while I was driving the other day! LOL - It came out of nowhere. Ever since then I have random violent heartburn attacks and then I am fine. Still peeing every 10 minutes. :)
Sleep: I have good and bad days - sometimes I have trouble breathing at night or Hunter is kicking to much and it keeps me up and other days I have so much running through my mind I end up just getting up at 4:30 in the morning.
Best moment this week: Getting a chance to see the Zoolights - It was very relaxing and was just what I was needing. Also making Christmas fudge - really helped with those Holiday candy cravings!
Miss Anything? Sleeping in until 8 in the morning.
Movement: He moves a little less, but when he is moving it is VERY noticeable. Strong little bugger. Food cravings: Hot cocoa and slurpee's still. Plus yummy Holiday cookies and candy. I was craving Pumpkin bars like mad so I made up two batches.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the lingering smell of bacon - but I am back to normal and enjoying bacon!
Have you started to show yet: I am getting the comments about the belly alll the time now. But everyone has been so nice - I had a lady just gushing over how cute I was at Target the other day. She really made my day!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Less silly, more reflective, crying more and a few mood swings.
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery done!
Stretch marks? Nothing still.
Wedding rings on or off? It is off - it had to go to the cleaners and the diamonds need to be tightened anyway, so I can't even wear it if I tried. Probably a good thing. It is pretty tight.
Labor Signs: Actually yes, but just for a day or so! They are completely gone now as we speak.
Belly Button in or out? Outie! It pokes through my shirt even with layers on.
Last Doctor Visit Update: The midwife Lynn discovered my dilation and was happy to hear that it turned out to be nothing. The day after the hospital visit they did a preterm labor test which came out negative. yay!

The Crib is up! Isn't it beautiful?

That crib just melts my heart. *Sigh* So adorable.

This is the crib Brandon's Grandma Brawner bought for our baby Hunter. She died on December 5th, 2012 - so we decided it was time to get the baby's room going and the crib was the first thing that needed to be put up! What a blessing to have our baby sleep in the crib his Great Grandmother so lovingly got for him. She was so excited! It will be a beautiful reminder of her.

We also were motivated to get it up since on the same day Grandma died (on December 5th) - I was in the hospital for a few hours due to some contractions and dilation. I had the stomach flu a few days before so we believe it was just the dehydration and the stress from the last couple days! Thank goodness everything is fine and Hunter is staying inside for now, but it sure did give us a scare! And now we are motivated more that ever to be ready for him. So we got to it.

I documented Brandon's crib experience:

Look! Brandon actually took the time to read the instructions! What a guy.

Almost done - I am bouncing around the room in excitement at this point.

Ta-Da! Look at my grizzly man so happy to have done a good job. He says it was 'Easy Peasy.' :)

This is roughly how I will set the crib up. Don't you love the crib skirt? Grandma Debbie was so nice to buy my green elephant crib skirt that I REALLY wanted from etsy. I needed something super special for it since I didn't want to put bumpers in the crib as recommended for SIDS.

Now we need to put together the stroller Audrie and my Mom got us and buy a dresser! Almost there. *whew*

29 weeks - exhausted already!

Yikes! I am playing catch-up for the last 5 weeks! It has been crazy crazy with the move, the baby shower and everything in between so we haven't had time to get a belly picture in. But look! Little missy Violet decided to pop in while we were taking pictures, so I decided she could stay. :)

We are just settling into the new place and we love it! The house is still in boxes, but we are functioning now. We won't be able to start Hunter's room for another few weeks, but I am so excited to get started for when we do. We had the family over for a Thanksgiving feast this last Thursday and that means the house will be filled with Christmas soon and it is just the start of ... yummy yummy food! Hunter and I will be so happy :)

My foot is doing better now - It is funny because it was starting to heal and then during the move I dropped a piece of wood on the EXACT spot where it was hurting - so the swelling and the pain came back with a vicious force. But it has been about two weeks since and I think it is completely healed! It is a miracle. There is just a touch of swelling, but it has gone down a lot. I love being able to walk around the house and function, not to mention I won't be waddling as much. NOW if I could just keep things away from it I will be in the clear.

In two weeks Olympia 2nd ward is throwing Hunter and I a baby shower. I can't wait! I am going to miss seeing everyone on Sunday every week, but Hunter, Brandon and I will have to stop by and visit.

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 28 pounds
Pants fit? absolutely nothing fits right - it drives me crazy
Pregnancy symptoms: Heartburn every once and awhile. Peeing like a mother all the time. Little bit of swelling on my right foot.
Sleep: Getting lots of sleep - like an angel :)
Best moment this week: Being in the new house and settling in. Imagining life here with a new baby Hunter.
Miss Anything? My clothes fitting. I am getting pretty frustrated.
Movement: Yep! He is a busy bugger.
Food cravings: Hot cocoa and slurpee's still. Really ice cream still too. Starting to crave chocolate a lot more than I usually do. Thank goodness it is the Holiday Season! :D
Anything making you queasy or sick: Bacon if I make it on the skillet because it hangs around in the air too long, but other than that - No! yay!
Have you started to show yet: I got myself a nice round bump - good old third trimester.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I am a little less silly lately from all the stress of the move, but I wouldn't say I have had horrible mood swings yet.
Looking forward to: The ward baby shower in two weeks! and Christmas.
Stretch marks? Nope - not yet. Fingers crossed.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but its starting to get a little tight.
Labor Signs: Nope - better not!
Belly Button in or out? Definitely out - it looks like it has a tongue, lol.
Last Doctor Visit Update: So far so good! The midwife wants us to start looking into birthing classes or at least start watching videos. That would be a good idea I guess. hee hee.

The baby shower - Thanks everyone!

Audrie and Jenna (Sanny helped too!) put together just the CUTEST baby shower for Hunter and I on November 10. Complete with elephants, hot cocoa and adorable baby things. We are so grateful for everyone that came - it was sooo much fun!

We are getting ready to party party - It was so fun to see everyone! It was quite the little shin dig. Audrie even put together a raffle: If the ladies brought a freezer meal, a pack of diapers or gift cards for the eat to eat fund, they had a chance to win a $15 Amazon.com gift card. I believe cousin Sandy won! I was happy to sit and chit chat with everyone and stand by while they played all the cute games. I did participate in one - I was a prop as you'll see below, ha ha.

Just look at all the yummy things - I requested a Hot Cocoa bar and they more than fulfilled that craving. Homemade white and regular hot chocolate with all the fixins a girl could ask for. Plus muffins, quiche, cookies, breads and cotton candy!

We played a little rely race game where the ladies had to 'get me ready for a baby's dr. appointment while running late' This is what I looked like at the end of it - I can't wait to be a Mom! ha ha. Patty ended up being the winner with I think a whopping minute and 9 seconds!

Us girls at the shower that went to high school together - Sandra (*ahem 'Sanny'), Emily, Jenna, me and Cassi! (Cassi is due with a baby girl any day now, isn't she cute?) We were being a bit silly.

Isn't this cute? Audrie made up a little card with me and Brandon's baby pictures (Since we were in the middle of moving, this was the only picture of me little I could find, lol!). Everyone had to guess what noses and toes little Hunter's will have. I say Hunter has Brandon's nose, Brandon's toes and my eyes. Perfect, right? ;)

Sisters! Me and my sissy hanging out before the baby shower. :)

We got so many wonderful gifts for Hunter - I can't wait to wash all the clothes and put everything away. I'll tell you what though - he is going to be one handsome stud. I. can't. wait to see him all decked out! Oh and the huge gift in the corner was from my Mom and Audrie - I was so surprised to see my Mom's hand writing on the card. Made my day.

6 months already!

I am already 6 months! I am starting to feel the effects of my big belly now, not to mention little Hunter sure moves a lot more! It feels like he is playing the drums the way he jerks and stretches around in there so fast. I can even see his little 'booms" he makes from the outside now too. There is this spot under my right rib that he especially likes nestle in - what a rascal.

I also seemed to sprain my right foot this last week - I am not adjusting well to getting up and about with a large mass in my belly. Brandon thinks it is hilarious the way I walk now - I have a 'natural' pregnancy wobble he says, but now I gimp a bit too. I will have to work on being more careful so I don't add anymore unnecessary attention to myself, ha ha. :)

Plus, we decided this last week that we'll be moving! Are we crazy or what? I must be nesting. :) There were some concerns about the current place we are renting that were making me nervous for a little snuckums running around. The new place will have hardwood floors and NO stairs! yay! And a backyard for Violet to run around in (now the whole neighborhood won't see me in my jammies early in the morning while she takes a pee break - wohoo!) So I am sad to be leaving my friends in Oly 2nd ward, but I will be in Audrie and Matt's ward now - which will be fun too! It will be a bitter sweet move, but I will be happy when it is over with. On the bright side - it really helps us organize and get rid of the junk we collected through the years. And that makes me very happy :)

........................................................................

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 20 pounds
Pants fit? absolutely nothing fits right - it drives me crazy
Pregnancy symptoms: I still have heartburn now & then. Plus now I have some rib pains and backaches. It is getting harder to get around, but really I do still feel great!
Sleep: I am getting better sleep now! Oddly, I stopped using a pillow for support and it feels much better. I still can't sleep on my right side - it goes numb, ha!
Best moment this week: Brandon is really getting to feel the baby move a lot more now - I love it!
Miss Anything? My skinny face! The weight is catching up on me a little. Yes - I see it!
Movement: Lots of movement in there - he likes to stretch out and wiggle.
Food cravings: Hot cocoa, mozzarella sticks and slurpee's still. Really am loving the ice cream lately too.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I am getting back to eating normal again! I will eat bacon, but it just can not be made in the house. The smell sticks around and that makes me queasy.
Have you started to show yet: It is no secret anymore - surprisingly I got away with it up until about now. Strangers are more confident to talk about the bump!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very silly, but I am definitely saying "NO" a lot more!
Looking forward to: Being moved into the new place!
Stretch marks? No! So far so good.
Wedding rings on or off? On - no issue there yet
Labor Signs: Nope - better not!
Belly Button in or out? It is definitely starting to poke out a little through my shirts, but it's still an innie with a slight 'outie.'
Last Doctor Visit Update: I had a check up with the Midwife and all is still fine. She says so far it is a normal uncomplicated pregnancy. I couldn't be happier, of course!

The Alphabet Wall!

So there is this amazing alphabet wall idea fluttering through Pinterest and we're going to do one for little Hunter's room too! I am so excited! Missy has already gave me one of her letters for the wall - isn't that "T" the cutest thing? And Ashley made that adorable "G" for the wall! The "K" is a Mariners thing Brandon contributed after we went to a Kings Court game so there was no arguing. It stays. We get really excited about sports and babies around here.

I thought it would be great to get your help if you want to make a letter for the wall too! It can be as creative or as simple as you want . :)

Here is where I got my inspiration: Project Nursery if you want some more ideas for letters. Around those sizes would be perfect.

Half way there! 20 weeks update - eeeek!

I'm at the half way point - can't believe it! I had a little freak out on Brandon the other night:  "We only have 20 weeks left and we don't even have an Emergency 72 hour kit for the baby yet!"  lol.  I'm ok now. I hear that sometimes new Mom's do things like this. It was late, I was hungry, tired ... my Mom brain took over.

Nonetheless little Hunter is starting to move around more and Brandon still hasn't been able to catch him yet. Pretty soon he should be really squirmin though. When we had the ultrasound it was so fun to watch him wiggle and we actually saw him swallow too! It was the coolest thing. The midwife even admitted she has yet to see that. I am also finally showing enough for people to realize I am pregnant! I love my little bump. ;)

I am really getting into baby crafts and setting up the nursery lately! I started making some shoe boxes wrapped in fabric so I have extra 'prettier' storage to put under the crib, I will post pics of those later. I even bought some buttons so I can make a button elephant canvas to hang in replace of the Dr. Pepper one Brandon has on the wall. If you haven't heard, we are making Brandon's old man cave the baby's new room. Some things they can share, but the caffeinated beverage obsession merchandise has to go. We will find a new special spot in the closet to hang those and that weird Batman Joker face. Love you Sugars! :D

One thing I really need to do is find a dresser to put all our millions of handy down mansy clothes a friend gave us! Aren't they adorable? They are in almost mint condition. She gave us about five bags stuffed full! Little Hunter is going to be quite the stud.

...............................................................................................................................

How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 15 pounds
Pants fit? Nope... *sigh* none of my old favorite jeans fit.
Maternity clothes? Definitely in maternity clothes

Sleep? Not sleeping well at all! My body goes numb on my right and left side, especially my right side. I am trying to use pillows to help - but so far nothing works. Even broke out the air mattress - that helps a little!
Pregnancy symptoms: Heart burn now and then and I can't sit for too long because it hurts my back. But other than that - I am feeling wonderful!
Best moment this week: Getting to shop for baby boy clothes and talk about our new baby Hunter!
Miss Anything? Sleeping with out kinks everywhere and I miss sleeping on my tummy.
Movement: Yes! It is so weird - like little blurbs and butterflies in there. It's kind of uncomfortable.
Food cravings: Hot cocoa, mozzarella sticks and slurpee's still. Really am loving the ice cream lately too.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Some sodas, bacon, fried chicken, pizza rolls
Have you started to show yet: Yes! There definitely is a bump
Gender prediction: I was RIGHT! It is a baby Hunter
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and very silly lately.
Looking forward to: Brandon being able to feel the baby move.
Stretch marks? No, but I am starting to feel a bit dry and stretched.
Wedding rings on or off? On - no issue there.
Labor Signs: Nope - better not!
Belly Button in or out? It is *barely* an innie - it looks really goofy. It makes me laugh.
Last Doctor Visit Update: I had a check up with the Midwife (Julie Swift) and we got to hear the baby's heart beat (152) again. <3 She told me to watch out for my heart burn getting worse and to take Tums instead of Rolaids.

The BIG reveal: Baby is a ... !

Today was the big baby reveal! We decided to do a little 'Baby Reveal' party so we could be surprised with our family when we found out if the baby was a KayLee or a Hunter. :) It was so much fun and we are so happy we decided to find out the gender with everyone.

We went to the doctor yesterday to get the ultrasound and got to see our sweet little darling for the first time! It was the best thing ever. We even got a nice view of the baby swallowing! It was just adorable. I couldn't look away. Anyway - when it came time to check out the baby bum parts, we looked away so we could be surprised. The Ultrasound Technician so very sweetly sealed the marked photos of the baby gender parts in an envelope so we couldn't peek. :)

This morning (about three hours before family came over) we decided to let Brandon peek so he could make the cake. If anyone had to know, we decided it would be fun for him to be the first and to surprise me! So the trick to a reveal cake is to hid colored frosting in the middle of the cake either revealing 'blue' for a boy or 'pink' for a girl. Then when I go to slice it - I will find out about the gender in the frosting! So here are the pictures of the event:

We needed full bellies before the big surprise! We were hungry and there was so much yummy food! Here are a few of the ravenous family members getting their BBQ on.

I did up a 'Cravings Table' so everyone could enjoy all my favorite things with me. I have to say I was a happy camper. Here's what the sign read:

My cravings are a little boring, but I could eat (or drink for that matter) anything off this list over and over again! Oh and watermelon too. As you can see the Mozzarella sticks were pretty much gone in no time. MMmmm! And I know, I know water is boring and a given, but I really crave it all the time. I carry a little bottle with me everywhere and if I don't have it, I have withdrawals. You should see all the drinking glasses we wash a day. sheesh.

Before we sliced the cake we played a game to see if the 'old wives tales' would reveal the gender to us. I guess we will have to find out :) The survey says I should be having a boy.

We also took a vote on what other people would like to name the baby. The paper didn't survive a Trenton, but they were all very creative: Bell Rockstar Shellhart, Audrie Shellhart (hmmm, I wonder who wrote that one) Frankie Shellhart.... Anymore ideas to add? lol.

We divided up into teams. 'TEAM girl' wore pink bow pins to show their support to a baby KayLee and 'TEAM boy' wore blue mustaches to show their support for a Hunter.

Team Boy
Team girl

So who won then?

It's a baby BOY!! I have been growing a little baby Hunter all this time. Mother knows best - you just know when you know, ok? :) And we couldn't be happier.

All the little things ...

I have a confession - I have been doing a little bit of "nesting." Ok, so I have been collecting baby items for a little lot longer than little baby has been around. Brandon has approved of my obsession of collecting diapers, wipes and clothes since around the time we got married. He he, silly me. I am just a planner ok! But look at all those cute baby clothes waiting to be washed and worn! If we only knew what gender our darn little nugget is!

Some diapers, mostly size 1, baby wash and baby wipes. I have given a lot of my diapers away for baby showers so it is time to start my stocking up my collection again - if you can believe it I used to have more!

I love all the little toys, books and gadgets we have been collecting. I found a this Bumbo in GREAT condition at a garage sale for only $10 (they are like 40 bucks new! bleh!) And a holder for little pacifers and spoons for the dishwasher. Plus, I have been hoarding that cute little baby Elephant in the box for about 2 years - I was going to give it as a baby gift, but it was so dang cute that I kept it!

Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom is my ALL time favorite book. It was the first book I could read on my own (probably memorized it rather than read). You can still my name and scribbles all over my book I had since I was 5 years old. So I bought baby their own book and toy durable enough to chew on while we read with Mom!

We also found this tiny pack and play at a Garage sale - so adorable right? And only $10! Looks like it came from a good family too. I will probably use it as a bassinet in the bedroom or as a babysitter for the living room when I need a break - he he. I even have a few toys in it already washed and ready to go.
Look at this - I found this cute little baby Elephant squishy toy at a garage sale for $0.50. It looked durable enough to make it through a hot wash so I bought it. I happened to be at Target the other day and found the same exact toy for $5.99 brand new! I hot washed it and still looks brand new. Garage sales can really pay off for that baby stuff.

Thank you garage sale people!!

*Whew* 15 weeks & feeling better!

Yay! I am 15 weeks today and am feeling soooo much better. I can't believe I am finally out of my first trimester. I am still feeling a little nauseous, but I have SO much more energy now. I have been cleaning and cooking a little again - it feels great. Not to mention Brandon has been loving it too!

I have even started eating better and have already gained 9 pounds since my first doctor's visit! Yikes - but the midwife assures me this is totally fine. But I usually get that response from everyone anyway. Nobody feels bad for the pregnant lady shaped like a toothpick. It feels so weird to gain so much weight so fast, I haven't weighed this much in years...

My parents visited this last week and we made a trip up to Wild Waves ... there's not a whole lot a pregnant lady can do up there, but my Mom and I had a lot of fun snuggling with baby Trenton and riding on the kiddy train rides with Aurora, well, the ones I could go on. It's amazing the restrictions for the preggers - I still went on the carousel and the mini Ferris wheel .... ssshhh.

Happy Anniversary - I am 11 weeks today!

It's our anniversary and I am 11 weeks today! We officially have announced the pregnancy! Whoop! AND I haven't had any bleeding since the last big scare two weeks ago so it looks like little baby Shellhart does want to stick around - yay!

My pants are starting to get so tight - I have started to do the little hair tie trick where you loop it around your jean buttons so you don't have to button them up all the way.  The other day I had Brandon squeeze me into a pair of jeans.... That didn't work for too long since half way through a Target trip I said 'screw it' and unbuttoned them anyway. I have a little pudge coming out - friends and family notice it. He he.

It's also really hard to eat anything these days. Certain kind of junk food like donuts and licorice sound amazing, but that won't make the doc too happy so the BRAT diet it is. I'll eat one thing one day and the next it sounds awful, so I am running out of things to eat - it's frustrating.

We actually went to Fall's Terrace for our anniversary dinner, but nothing looked good! Poor Brandon just wanted a nice steak. I nicely explained to the waiter that I was 11 weeks pregnant and although everything looked delicious, steaks and chicken would just be too rich for me. So, gulp, I asked to look at the kids menu since a grilled cheese sandwich sounded AMAZING! Apparently you have to be under 12 and under no circumstances can order off the kids menu. Ha ha! Awkward... So we left, and good thing too! We went across the street to Pellegrinos where I could snack on bread and pasta - plus Brandon could eat his steak. yay!

I also keep finding the CUTEST baby clothes and its hard not to buy the store out. :( I have bought a few bargins so far (I try to keep onsies at $1.25 or less and sleepers at $3 or less) and put all the other cute stuff back until I actually know a gender. Although, I wouldn't put it past me to put my cute baby boy in a pink jumpsuit or my sweet baby girl in a dinosaur onsie. ;) Who's counting anyway, they'll still look so cute! Lol.

......................................................................................................................

How far along? 11 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 5 lbs or so (losing and gaining all the time)
Pants fit? No! So tight!
Maternity clothes? Not wearing any yet, but I have a few that I collected over the years :)
Pregnancy symptoms: Bloating - Feeling much more nauseated and some vomiting (hungry all the time, but sick all the same) - Lots of cravings, I like one thing one day and hate it the next. Makes it hard to eat anything and I am so hungry! - Still peeing A LOT - Still tired all the time.
Sleep? Not very well - I am up a lot at night to pee and I have strange dreams. Soo tired.

Best moment this week: No bleeding - yay! *happy dance*
Miss Anything? The other day I really wanted a nice cold Dr. Pepper and I still want that COLD all American sub!
Movement: Nope
Food cravings: Donuts, chicken strips, water
Anything making you queasy or sick: greasy fried chicken, heavy drinks like soda, bacon, hot dogs, red meat
Have you started to show yet: A little, but it's just the bloating. People who know about the pregnancy notice my little pudge, lol.
Gender prediction: Still a boy
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still feeling happy and silly, but Audrie told me the other day that I am definitely acting very 'defiant' about certain things lately, but in a good way :) ha ha! :S
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender so I can buy all those cutesie things! So for now I have been just buying both boy and girl stuff :)

Last Doctor Visit Update: I had my BIG official visit with the nurse last week where we discussed nutrition, baby tests and insurance stuff. It was exciting to get the low down, although the nurse was a bit ... 'bossy.' I'll have to learn to be a good patient.

Most darling KayLee Ella and Little Man subway signs

I got so excited scouring Pinterest baby crafts that I already started some subway signs for the baby's nursery! The poor thing isn't even born yet, but I have two make believe babies. I actually don't even have a boys name picked out, but Franklin sounded cute at the time. UPDATE: We are thinking maybe a Hunter or a Jaxx (Jackson)? Maybe even keep Franklin and call him Frankie - that might be a little too nerdy tho! My little Frankie, lol!

BUT we do have a girls name picked out:

KayLee Ella Shellhart

It has my Mama's name and Brandon's sweet grandmother's name in it. My Mom's middle name is Kay and my Mom's actual name is LeAnne. Brandon's Grandmother's name is LeeElla. So I took the 'Kay' for my Mom and the 'Lee' for both Mom and grandma. Then 'Ella' is for Brandon's grandmother. Perfect, right?! The original name was just going to be LeeElla, but I like this much better since now I have my Mom's name in there too! Sneaky sneaky ...

But we are always up for boy name suggestions! So far we like Jace or Jax, but I would love for it to be a family name.... so maybe a combo of something... My Dad's name is Raymond - lets see we also have a Kenneth, Edward, Homer (*snicker*), Sylvan, Franklin, Fredrick, Issac ... obviously a Brandon, but that is just silly ;)

There's a Little Nugget in there!!

We know you're in there little nugget! I took the BIG test on June 6th, 2012 and found out there really was a reason I was feeling all weird. At the moment we were so EXCITED, but I thought I miscarried so I was feeling a bit unsure how to feel about it for a few days. Brandon wasn't worried at all - what a guy! AND sure enough few days of being stabbed with needles cleared it all up and I had an ultrasound to confirm the little nugget was still ALIVE on June 14th. I was just 6 weeks along. Yay! We called Nana and Papa on Father's Day to tell them the big news and they were SO EXCITED TOO!

So far I have been having some bleeding (seems to run in the family) but all is well and the little Shellhart is still doing just fine. All cozy in there and seems to want to stick around. So I have been put on pelvic rest which means I can't lift anything over 20 lbs, no sex (ha ha!) and no heavy exercising. I called the nurse the other day just to find out this also means no tubing down the river. :( It also happens to be 80 degree's out today which is rare in Washington - boo! I am trying to avoid caffeine until I am off pelvic rest, but that actually hasn't been an issue since soda sounds awful.

So while we WAIT to announce the big news to everyone else, I'll write a few of my favorite little things and not so favorite little things about the little sweet demon Shellhart inside of me :)

Last Doctor Visit Update: I have had two doctor visits and two ultrasounds already since I have had two 'gushing' episodes, but the baby is just fine. :) The Midwife thinks it is just my cervix being sensitive.
